My name is Heather Drabant. I’m a writer and an editor known for my eagle-eyed editing, engaging content, and flair for tackling diverse topic ranges and genres.
When I’m not drafting a new article in need of dedicated research, deep in the weeds of story development, or turning podcast episodes into blog posts and social media content, you can typically find me:
- Reading heart-stopping action adventures, knee-wobbling romance, and immersive fantasy worlds
- Experimenting with DIY home improvement and doing my best to turn spaces from chaotic to cozy
- Researching anything from health-conscious skincare to meal prep best practices
- Painting clouds and whimsical scenery
- Traveling and exploring new environments
- Baking pastries and trying new recipes

My blog is for people who like slice-of-life content with a touch of oversharing and a dose of practical advice. You’ll probably get more out of it if you love nature, slow living, challenging expectations, and reflecting on the little moments of life and how they contribute to the big ones.
I also share writing tips and tricks for those looking to step into the world of novel drafting/writing/revising and content creation, but mainly, this is my public journal of my own journey, which coincidentally could offer some guidance for those on a similar path.
What’s the path? Well, for me, it has looked like: unusual but (mostly) not unsettling child → homeschool graduate → college alternative enthusiast and Praxis alum → EdTech startup employee → freelance writer/editor, homeowner, and chief executive officer of general shenanigans.
If any of this resonates with you, feel free to stay awhile. I’m glad you’re here.
